Pilates is a gentle, but powerful way to gain strength and flexibility throughout the entire body. Primarily focusing on the muscles of the core (abdominal, back, and pelvic floor), it is a challenging, yet low-impact form of exercise that can help improve any sports performance, as well as prevent injuries. Unlike some other popular exercises, which tend to isolate certain areas of the body, Pilates helps to condition and balance the body as a whole without the risk of over training or injury.
Tisha obtained her Pilates certification at the Burlingame Pilates Studio. In addition to Pilates, she has also been trained in the Franklin Method. This type of "imagery exercise" uses cognitive imagery to re-align the body to improve movement and control. A typical session with Tisha includes both Pilates and Franklin Method exercises, along with Franklin balls, foam rollers, and other props to help with alignment and loosen muscles and joints in a safe, gentle manner.
Sessions typically run 55 minutes. Clients must bring their own yoga mats. Sessions are currently being held at the Old School Theater in Pollock Pines.

*Group sessions- no more than 5 clients per session, please. Tisha prefers to keep sessions small so that she may more easily give each client her individual attention, and ensure that each person is performing each exercise correctly.

Packages of 5 sessions: $185.
